Dinwiddie Health and Rehab has decided to join Relay for Life this year which will be held at Dinwiddie High School on June 6, 2015 from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m.
We will have our first Relay for Life Team meeting on Thursday, February 12th immediately following our monthly Service Excellence Meeting at 2:00.

- You will be given the option to join the team and/or make a donation.
If you have never participated in a Relay for Life event it is a lot of fun and no, you are not actually having a relay. Each team is set up to have some type of fund raiser during the event (i.e. food vendors, baked goods, games, etc.). There will be an entertainment line up during the event. Team members walk the track/grounds at their leisure. Relay events usually start out with a survivor lap, then a caregiver lap, and maybe other special dedicated laps through the event. In the evening there will be a special luminary ceremony when all of the lights are dimmed, and luminaries are lit around the entire event in memory or in honor of people battling cancer.
Our team has a goal of $1000. Let’s pass that goal! We will be selling “cupcakes” for $1.00. Any donor’s name will be put on a cupcake and displayed in the front lobby for their appreciation and recognition. We will also be selling luminary bags: $10 for a white bag and $25 for a gold bag.
