When I first came here on April 6, 2010, following back surgery, I was really out of it. I was unable to even sit up on my own, and was being lifted out of bed with a hoyer to a wheelchair. During my first PT session, I had no idea what I was doing. As time went on I was almost lost, but thanks to the girls in PT and OT, it took a while to get me going ( I was on a lot of pain meds and kind of out of it)- all the girls, Allyson, Kathy, and Christie did not give up on me. I finally came around and things got a little better, slowly getting more mobile and able to really become active in therapy. I went through a lot of exercise, and finally started walking-started taking small steps in the parallel bars, to now on my own with a walker! It took a lot of work to get me where I am (ready to go home in just a few days!!!….after being here 86 days!) I have really enjoyed the people and everything they have done for me to get me back to ME…if not better, as I’m going home more mobile and with less pain than before surgery. My thanks include C.N.A’s, RN’s, LPN’s, PT, OT, & everyone. I will miss all of the friends I have made.
