COVID-19 Notification Change

Posted on:

Dear Patients and Families:

I am writing to make you aware of a change regarding COVID-19 notifications. Nursing facilities are required by federal regulations and Virginia Department of Health requirements to notify patients and their families of each new positive COVID-19 test result in a patient or staff member of the Center. Since the Center’s first case of COVID-19, we have provided notification of new positive test results in multiple ways including texts and emails. Beginning Monday, July 25, 2022, the Center will provide notification each day when there is a new positive test result identified in a patient or staff member by posting information to our website only, which meets regulatory requirements. All new notifications will be posted the Center’s main landing page, and previous notifications will continue to be archived on the Center’s COVID-19 webpage.

A patient, and/or their agent, will be made aware of the patient’s positive test result by phone per the Center’s usual protocol. The notifications referenced in the paragraph above are for other patients and staff members of the Center. Should you have any questions regarding your loved one’s specific COVID-19 test results or the Center’s outbreak status, please feel free to contact the Center at any time. Signs will be posted when the Center has an outbreak of COVID-19, and COVID-19 education will continue to be provided to families and visitors upon entry to the Center.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Byers, LNHA
