Frontline Friday: Tonya Birt, RN

Posted on:

When you join the Dinwiddie Health & Rehab Center family, you’ll be inspired by colleagues who embody our mission of providing peace of mind to those we care about: residents, families, and employees. Our staff is dedicated to the care and recovery of our patients and residents. Whether you are here to settle in or looking for a speedy, complete rehabilitation, our expertise, training, and skills are at your service.

Each Friday, we’ll be introducing you to one of those employees who help make our facility so great as part of our “Frontline Friday.” On behalf of Dinwiddie Health & Rehab Center, we have the pleasure of introducing you to Tonya Birt, RN:

We are pleased to reintroduce you to Tonya Birt, RN charge nurse.  Tonya has been a part of the Dinwiddie team for several years.  During her tenure, she has welcomed the challenges that only those of us who work in LTC could appreciate.  We are immensely proud of Tonya as she began her journey here as a new LPN and has since completed her RN program at Fortis College and received her license as a registered nurse.

She accomplished these goals while being a full-time mother to her two beautiful boys and wearing just about every hat in her clinical roles at Dinwiddie Health & Rehab Center.   Tonya has always been supportive of her supervisors and coworkers from advocating for change and covering extra shifts when needed to ensure continuity of care.   There is no way we could ever repay Tonya’s selfless service.

Thank you, Tonya.  All of your hard work has not gone unnoticed.
