Dinwiddie Health & Rehab Center is excited to participate in the upcoming observance of National Skilled Nursing Care Week (NSNCW), which will be held May 12-18, 2019.

The NSNCW 2019 theme, “Live Soulfully”, will celebrate skilled nursing centers, and their residents and staff, by showcasing how they achieve happy minds and healthy souls.

Established as an annual, week-long observance by the American Health Care Association (AHCA) in 1967, NSNCW,  formerly known as National Nursing Home Week, provides an opportunity to recognize the role of skilled nursing care centers in caring for America’s frail, elderly, and disabled.

To celebrate the event, here is everything we have planned for the week:

Mother’s Day Social

Monday, May 13- Murder Mystery Monday
Staff will have a murder mystery clue game
Entertainment from Country Classic w/ Ray Peterson

Tuesday, May 14- Team Day Tuesday
Everyone can wear their favorite team jersey
Bingo games for patients & staff

Wednesday, May 15- Wellness Wednesday
Staff and patients will go for a walk together
Sing-A-Long w/ Pauline Ogburg

Thursday, May 16- Lupus Awareness Day
Everyone is asked to wear Purple
Silent Auction to raise money for Lupus Foundation of American
Ice Cream Social
Evening Entertainment from Clan Haggis (performs Scotch/Irish music)

Friday, May 17- Team Dinwiddie Day
Cookout & Monthly Birthday Celebration
