As you may be aware, the Biden administration is planning to issue a mandate requiring nursing home staff to become vaccinated against COVID-19. Prior to this announcement, the Center announced that COVID-19 vaccination was mandatory for our staff effective July 19, 2021. We are very pleased to see that the administration recognizes the value of vaccination in the nursing home setting and hope that a similar mandate will follow for all healthcare workers who treat vulnerable patients.

County Positivity Rate:  Increased to 13.2%.
Testing Frequency for Staff and Patients: Patients and staff may be tested as needed based on symptoms, exposure, or during an outbreak.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff receive ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
