**COVID-19 Update**
November 18th, 2021

We hope you are staying healthy and safe.

As you may be aware, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services provided updated visitation guidance for nursing homes on November 12, 2021. In many ways, we will be able to resume visitation in a similar manner to how it occurred pre-pandemic. We are still required by CMS to continue to promote and adhere to core infection control principles among visitors such as screening upon entry to the Center, mask usage, social distancing and increased hand hygiene. This is welcomed news as we approach the holiday season.

CDC County Community Transmission: High
Testing: Patients may be tested as needed based on symptoms, exposure, or during an outbreak. Staff are tested twice per week due to the community transmission level.
PPE: The supply remains adequate. Staff have received ongoing education on appropriate PPE utilization.
Visitation: Virtual and scheduled indoor and outdoor visitation are currently available.

As always, please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have.

Sincerely,

Kenneth Byers, LNHA
